WWI Postcard Destroyed British Tank
Item: WWI65

Original WWI picture postcard of a knocked out British tank.  Measures 3.5x5.5".  Has no message to the reverse.  In very good condition.  Thanks to one of my customers, it is identified as a C51 named 'Chaperon' on the side of the road from Le Pavé to Vaucelles, south of Laleau Wood, France. It was destroyed during the Battle of Cambrai in 1917.  It bears the Ace of spades emblem representing the British 12th (Eastern) Division.
